What size system do I need?

As a rough guide: 5-14 grids for a single garage (3m x 6m),two 5-14 grids or a 23 grid systems for a double garage (6m x 6m). Check the Specifications tab for exact dimensions. Contact us for layout advice.

Which colour temperature should I pick?

6500K — daylight, Ideal for detailing, barbershops, workshops, and garages with DIY or hands-on tasks. 5000K — Clean daylight. Great for everyday garage use, parking, storage, and home gyms. 4000K — Neutral white. Versatile for offices, retail, and mixed-use spaces. 3000K — Warm white. Best for relaxed environments, showrooms, and retail displays. Not sure? Go with 5000K or 6500K.

Where does the power cable come out?

You choose. It connects at any outer corner of the grid, so you can run it towards your nearest power point.

Do I need an electrician?

Plug-in: no, just plug into a 240V outlet. Hardwired (no visible cables): yes, a licensed electrician is required by law in Australia and New Zealand.

Is this easy to install?

Yes. Assemble on the floor, test, mount to ceiling. Most customers finish in 2 to 4 hours. See our Installation Guide for the full walkthrough.

How can I mount the lights?

Three options: surface-mount to ceiling with screws (most common), wall-mount for a feature wall look, or suspend from the ceiling using our suspension wire kit. Every connector has built-in screw slots so no extra brackets are needed.

Is this safe and certified?

SAA approved and RCM certified. Our entire system uses 3-pin connectors with earth wire — every tube, every connector, not just the power plug.

Can I add more hexagons later?

Yes. The system is modular. Buy another kit and connect it to your existing setup.

What happens if a tube stops working?

Only that tube goes dark the rest stays on. Just swap it out. We offer a Replacement Tube Pack in our accessories collection.
