About HexSpace

Australian-owned hexagon lighting specialist for garages, gyms, workshops and commercial spaces.

Who We Are

HexSpace is an Australian-owned company specialising in hexagon LED lighting systems for garages, workshops, gyms, detailing studios, barbershops, and commercial spaces across Australia and New Zealand.

We started HexSpace because we saw a gap in the Australian market. As garage and car enthusiasts ourselves, we wanted hexagon lights that actually met Australian electrical standards, used quality materials, and came with proper local support. Most products available at the time were uncertified kits with no earthing, plastic housings, and no local accountability. We decided to fix that.

What We Stand For

Our hexagon kits are SAA approved and carry the RCM compliance mark for Australian and New Zealand electrical safety. Our systems use a 3-pin earthed design with ground protection running through every light tube, every connector, and the power cable. The housings are aluminium, not plastic, for better heat dissipation and longer lifespan.

HexSpace is a registered Responsible Supplier under the Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS), supplier number E20158, which you can check on the national EESS register.

We do not cut corners on safety or build quality. When we put our name on a product, it meets the standard we would expect in our own garages.

Australian-Based Support

When you contact us, you are dealing with a real Australian team. We offer layout advice, custom design support, and a genuine warranty backed by a local company.

The HexSpace Team

Our buying guides, install guides and FAQs are written by Ben and the HexSpace team. Ben runs HexSpace and looks after product selection, compliance paperwork and the advice we publish. Our team has over 13 years of experience in the lighting industry. The same team answers customer emails and custom layout requests, so the questions people ask us shape what we write.

How we write and check our guides

• Product facts come from our specification sheets. Kit sizes, wattage, rated lumens, CRI and lifespan figures are taken from the product pages and spec sheets, and prices are checked when a guide is updated.
• We only quote verified buyer reviews. Customer comments in our guides come from reviews submitted by buyers on our store, and we do not add details the reviewer did not write.
• We do not publish measurements we have not taken. Brightness targets in our guides are labelled as HexSpace design guidance, not as figures from a standard.
• Standards are referenced, not paraphrased into numbers. Where we mention Australian and New Zealand standards, we link to Standards Australia so you can read the source.
• We keep our guides up to date. Our main buying and install guides show when they were last reviewed. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it.

Who we have supplied

Our kits light homes and businesses across Australia and New Zealand, including kits supplied for Jetts Fitness, IGA, and Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Toyota dealership spaces.

What we do and do not do

We design and supply lighting kits and help you plan the layout, including free custom layouts through our custom quote page. We do not install lights. Plug-in kits can be set up yourself, and hardwiring must be done by a licensed electrician.

Our Focus

Our range focuses on hexagon LED lighting systems in multiple sizes and colour temperatures, designed for residential garages, home gyms, commercial workshops, detailing studios, barbershops, and retail spaces. Whether you need a compact system for a single garage or a full-ceiling layout for a commercial fit-out, we can help.
